Won't Anybody Listen, a feature length documentary about the southern California music scene premiered as an official selection at the Hollywood Film Festival . The film received rave reviews in Variety and was booked immediately afterward at New York City's Pioneer Theatre. Following more enthusiastic reviews in the Hollywood Reporter and the New York Times theatrical dates for Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Kansas City, Chicago and northern Michigan were added. Shot by first time director Dov Kelemer, the film documents the lives of "undiscovered" OC musicians, NC-17.
Seeking to illuminate the seldom seen artistic and financial struggles
of independent artists, the film features an intimate glimpses into the
lives of two
brothers who come to Hollywood to make their rock ‘n’ roll dreams
come true. The
film was selected for theatrical distribution at last September's Independent
Feature Film Market in New York.
Although over 200 films were screened (many featuring name stars
and budgets exceeding six figures), only one, Kelemer's Won't Anybody Listen, received a theatrical distribution deal with
Seventh Art Releasing. Acclaimed
political cartoonist, Peter Kuper, (https://www.peterkuper.com)
whose credits include the Village Voice, Time, Newsweek,
The New York Times, The Washington Post, and scores of other
publications is creating the original poster art for Won’t Anybody
Listen. A streaming preview and extensive web page for
